FOUNDER — AO ATLAS
Lane Morgan
Husband, dad of two boys, and ten years in the car business. I got good at it, and there was still always a number I wasn't allowed to pass. So I left and built something that runs by different rules.
THE SHORT VERSION
A decade of being capped was enough.
I spent ten years in the car business and got to a high level doing it — sales, management, then the finance office. I was good at it. That's the part that made leaving hard.
What I couldn't get past was the structure. I was capped by the plan, not by my results. Whatever I built could get cut short the moment somebody above me decided it should be, and past a certain point there was nowhere left to grow.
I didn't want a different job. I wanted different rules.
At home it's my wife and our two boys, eight and one. A career that keeps you away from that is a bad trade no matter what it pays. I wanted something I could run from my own house and build around my family instead of the other way around.
This does that, and it uses every skill the car business gave me. You're still sitting across from a working family explaining a number that matters. What changes is what you're protecting — and that what you build stays yours.
AO Atlas is the agency I'd have wanted ten years ago. Fewer people and more attention. A path with the requirements posted so nobody's guessing. Somebody who actually picks up the phone.
I'm not trying to build the biggest agency. I'm trying to build one where people get further than I did.
THE ARRANGEMENT
What I'll give you, and what I'll ask for.
Both sides of it, in writing, before you ever apply.
WHAT YOU GET FROM ME
- Direct access. Not a chatbot, not a queue, not a manager three levels away.
- Honest feedback on your calls, even when it isn't what you want to hear
- A path with the requirements posted, so you're never guessing what the next level takes
- Guidance through licensing, onboarding, and your first Zoom appointments
- The truth about this business, including the parts that make it hard
WHAT I'LL ASK FOR
- You show up to training and you take notes
- You run it our way before you decide our way doesn't work
- You tell me the truth about your activity, especially on a bad week
- You treat every family like your name is on the policy
- You give it a real runway before you decide
If any of that sounded like you, let's talk.
Two minutes to apply, then a real conversation. I read every application that comes through.
